What is Hoof?
The creation and launch of "Hoof Ride London" is the first step to achieving an Olympic legacy and will provide the umbrella for the promotion of a series of initiatives and activities aimed at increasing awareness of, and participation in riding and equestrian sport.
Hoof Teams up with Go London
Hoof has teamed up with Go London, the London branch of the Change 4 Life initiative that is working to get people in London to eat well, move more and live longer. Hoof's aim is very similar - to get more people off the sofa and away from their desks to try riding in London.
The Hoof Website
The Hoof website includes information About Riding, use this section for a quick reference on anything to do with riding.

Our Objectives
Bringing the London riding community together and using the inspiration of the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, the objectives of "Hoof - Ride London" are to :
1. Promote Riding &
Equestrian Sports
Leading to increased awareness and an increasing and broadening of participation (riders, spectators, related education, careers etc).
2. Challenge Ideas
Change the common perceptions of riding being expensive, inaccessible and elitist through effective communications and by increasing the provision of ‘riding for all’, through inner city schools.
3. Engage with the Sporting Community
Build relationships with the wider sporting and political landscape.
4. Seek Funding
Raise and distribute funding to support the aims of increasing and broadening awareness of, and participation in, equestrian sport through sponsorship, livery companies, trusts etc.
5. Support the Riding Community
Support the existing riding community (riding schools, clubs etc) by providing advice and through sharing best practice with the aim of increasing and improving access to facilities, coaches, horses etc.
6. Promote Riding Events
Initiate equestrian related events and activities that could be grouped and promoted as London's Festival of the Horse.
