Being a groom is just one way of earning your living working with and around horses:

• Work at a riding centre or livery yard as a groom, meanwhile developing your training skills to become an instructor, learning how to manage a yard,
• Train to become a farrier
• Work for one of the many companies that supply horse feed, equipment and other essential horsey products.
• Work in British Racing and maybe even become a jockey
